Smart traditional or ethnic wear. Think kurtas, sarees, lehengas, or sherwanis. Please avoid white or black. For Haldi, wear something light-colored that you don't mind getting turmeric on — it's going to get messy!
Is there an airport nearby?
Yes — there are a few convenient airport options nearby. Cochin International Airport (COK) is about 100 km from The River Retreat. Calicut International Airport (CCJ) is around 80 km away. Coimbatore International Airport (CJB) is another option and is approximately 110 km from the venue. From any of these airports, you can take a cab or pre-booked taxi to Cheruthuruthi. The drive is usually about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic.
How do I get to the venue?
For The River Retreat (Haldi, Sangeet, and Wedding Ceremony): The venue is located 300 meters from Cheruthuruthi Ayurveda College stop on the main Thrissur-Shoranur State Highway, and about 1.8 km from Shoranur Railway Station. Once you reach Cheruthuruthi, local cabs or auto-rickshaws can easily get you to The River Retreat. From Thrissur town, it's approximately 25-30 KM away, and a taxi ride will take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
For The Date Banquets (Reception): The Date Banquets reception venue is easily accessible via Metro, taxi, or car rides. The exact location (Metro Pillar No. 52-55, Jhilmil Industrial Area, Delhi) is pinned on your reception card — just follow the map!
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, ample parking is available at The River Retreat for the wedding ceremony and pre-wedding events (Haldi and Sangeet). For the reception at The Date Banquets, valet parking is available at Metro Pillar No. 52-55 in the Jhilmil Industrial Area — just hand over your keys and we'll take care of it!
Can I take photos?
Yes, take ALL the photos. We've spent way too much money on this day to not have it documented from 47 angles. Just don't be the person who lifts an iPad over the crowd during the ceremony. You know who you are. Don't be that person. 💕
What do I gift the couple?
Just show up and dance badly with us. That's it. If you really must bring something, our honeymoon fund will love you forever. (No crockery, please. We have enough plates to feed a small village.)
